Double Up! – Moving to SharePoint on Azure and SharePoint in Office 365

Microsoft offers two ways to move SharePoint to the cloud – Azure and Office 365. Each has great strengths but also challenges for traditional SharePoint implementers. In this session, we’ll review the major strategic pros and cons in moving to the cloud. Office 365 simplifies infrastructure planning but also constrains traditional solution techniques used for on-premises SharePoint. In this session, we’ll review:

•    Overview, capabilities and weaknesses of Office 365 & Azure

•    Deciding between Office 365, Azure, and hybrid scenarios

•    Planning and techniques for content migration

•    Setting up security sync using WAADC

•    How to administer SharePoint on Azure

•    Office 365 Admin tips and tricks

 Community Time for Power Users

Starting this month and going forward, there will be a dedicated time for anyone attending the meeting to ask/answer questions related to any SharePoint feature.

We, at the steering committe feel that there is enough knowledge among all of the attendees that we can help each other by sharing the knowledge.

Our goal is that this time will be use to introduce SharePoint features (tips/tricks), ask questions, answer questions, showcase a technique, etc. by the attendees.

Give us your opinion about this time slot. Or if you would like to be a part of this time, drop us an email at BuckeyeSPUG@live.com.

No vendor topics.
