No Permissions? No SharePoint. An insider's look at the gotchas inherent in SharePoint access.

SharePoint doesn't work without permissions. Services cannot run without the correct permissions, Web applications cannot be accessed, files cannot be uploaded. Users simply can't log in and see their SharePoint sites without permissions. Permissions permeate every level of SharePoint, and so few people really know the ins and outs of this most basic requirement. Most people simply use the default settings to get by, following by rote what they've read in whitepapers or on forums. Come to this session to see what you might have been missing. Get a quick, overall view of permissions, from settings for services people often forget to blocked permissions, with some details concerning some cruel administrator pranks, ghost users, and more.

 Community Time for Power Users

Starting this month and going forward, there will be a dedicated time for anyone attending the meeting to ask/answer questions related to any SharePoint feature.

We, at the steering committe feel that there is enough knowledge among all of the attendees that we can help each other by sharing the knowledge.

Our goal is that this time will be use to introduce SharePoint features (tips/tricks), ask questions, answer questions, showcase a technique, etc. by the attendees.

Give us your opinion about this time slot. Or if you would like to be a part of this time, drop us an email at BuckeyeSPUG@live.com.

No vendor topics.

NOTE: Due to the renovations at the Microsoft Office, we are temporarily relocating our meetings to the Cardinal Solutions Office in Downtown. For more information click here
